The 25-year-old model took the place of Kate Moss who was chosen “best dressed” for the past two years. Kate is now number two on the list.

The pixie-haired blonde, whose real name is Laura Hollins, stole the spotlight at London Fashion Week in September and has also been named Model of the Year.

She has featured on the cover of Time magazine and fashion house Zara has even ordered mannequins designed around her.

Karolina Kurkova will play Cover Girl in new G.I. Joe live-action movie

It was announced that Czech supermodel Karolina Kurkova will play Cover Girl in new G.I. Joe live action movie.

Courtney A. Kreiger, better known as Cover Girl, is a fictional character from the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero-themed toy line of the 1980s, appearing in both the comic books and the cartoons. She is one of G.I. Joe’s tank jockeys, specializing in the Wolverine missile tank.

Prior to joining G.I. Joe, Cover Girl was a highly successful fashion model from Peoria, Illinois who graced the covers of countless magazines, but she found the world of modeling unfulfilling and joined the army to seek out new challenges in life. She felt very driven to master distinctly unfeminine traits in order to prove that she was not just a pretty face.

Australian supermodel Gemma Ward is reportedly dating actor Heath Ledger.

The ‘Brokeback Mountain‘ star was spotted holding hands with the 20-year-old beauty as they dined with friends at a restaurant in their mutual home-town of Perth, Australia.

The restaurant manager told Life and Style Weekly magazine: “It’s pretty obvious they’re an item.”

After spending Christmas in Perth with her family, Gemma arrived in Sydney on Saturday (12.01.08) where she was spotted on a shopping spree, buying a kaftan, a poncho, a beaded wrap and a kimono in the sales.

Heath, 28, has returned to London where he is shooting his new movie ‘The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus‘.

The fashion industry has celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign in Australia with a glamorous celebrity-studded show by designer Alex Perry in Sydney.

The campaign, which started in the US before spreading to several other countries including Australia, raises awareness of breast cancer and funds for research.

The gala birthday event, held in a marquee in Martin Place, attracted a host of celebrities and fashionistas eager for a look at Perry’s spring summer collection, which featured flowing sparkly frocks in pastels and edgier animal prints.

The event also doubled as a pre-launch for the Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival, which kicks off today.

The festival is designed to bring fashion to the people with shows from a number of top designers open to the public, just as their collections hit stores.

Sarah Jessica Parker: Adding to the Family

Ready to add to their family, Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick are set to become parents again - to surrogate baby twins!

The couple are expecting twin daughters - being their second and third children, as they have a six-year-old son named James Wilkie.

Making the announcement earlier today (April 28), SJP and Matthew said that they weree “happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed.”

The surprise baby news follows not-too-distant rumors of marital woes, after Broderick was accused of infidelity.

Of the cheating talk, the “Sex and The City” actress dismissed the rumors, stating, “We don’t even bother to address them (the reports).”

Adriana Lima`s Husband Cleared Of Assault Charges

Supermodel Adriana Lima`s basketball star husband has been cleared of sexually assaulting a woman.

Memphis Grizzlies player Marko Jaric, 30, was under investigation amid claims he assaulted a woman in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania last weekend, reports Sports Illustrated.

Jaric, who married catwalk star Lima last month, insists the accusations are "100 per cent false".

And his spokesperson reveals no charges will be filed.

The representative tells TMZ.com, "I received official word from the Philadelphia District Attorneys office that after a thorough investigation no charges will be filed against my client, Marko Jaric, in connection with the alleged incident with an unnamed female on February 11, 2009 while his team was in town to play the (Philadelphia) 76ers.

"Persons in Marko`s position are often the target of malicious statements and it is not unusual for the police to be asked to investigate. However, these allegations were proved to be completely false, and while Marko is extremely unsettled by these accusations, he is happy that the law enforcement authorities have cleared him of any criminal conduct and the issue can now be put to rest."

Kate Moss Wearing Her Engagement Ring (Rumour)

Kate Moss tended to hide her sparkling ring, which is believed to be an engagement ring, on her left ring finger when she was spotted leaving Goucho Club on Wednesday, March 25. The 35-year-old model looked very gorgeous wearing her leopard print coat.

Previously, Kate's beau Jamie Hince stated that he was desperate to marry the British supermodel after dating her for more than a year. The 40-year-old rocker currently plans for his wedding day. "I want to marry Kate. She's all I want. She's all I need," he told News of the World newspaper. "I loved the Queen tribute band The Bohemians. They're really good. They are even better than Queen. They can come to the wedding."

Regarding Jamie and Kate's wedding plans, friends of the couple believed that the ceremony will be held soon. "It's obvious how loved-up they are. Heidi Montag Fake Wedding

To call The Hills fake or scripted would be an understatement, but it's still one of the most popular reality shows on television. So when their leading 'actors' agree to get married for the cameras, MTV is going to make sure they squeeze all they can out of it.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are planning on tying the knot this weekend, again, but is it for real this time? Highly doubt it.

The couple first "eloped" in Mexico, but never filed for a marriage license. They next filmed an episode at the Beverly Hills Courthouse where they pretended they were having a civil ceremony, but the judge was actually an actor, and Heidi and Spencer had a change of heart about the ceremony.

So will they actually get married this Saturday like MTV wants everyone to believe? Sources on set claim that Saturday's wedding at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena is nothing more than a phony ceremony for the series finale of the show.

An insider tells In Touch, "It’s all set up by the producers of MTV to get people to watch. It’s just a plot line. They’re not really getting married."

But Spencer's sister Stephanie seems really excited about the nuptials anyway. "I'm really excited to be a bridesmaid, but I'm pretty worried. I'm looking into waterproof eye makeup because I know I'm going to cry," Stephanie told Hollyscoop exclusively.

In regards to being a bridesmaid, Stephanie said, "Holly and I are wearing yellow gowns from BCBG and our [Spencer and her] niece is the flower girl! She's also wearing a yellow dress."

Lauren Conrad said she was invited but would not attend. "I think that it was very nice of her to invite, but I think that she didn't really expect me to come," she said.

The reception will reportedly be held at Wolfgang Puck's Cut steakhouse in Beverly Hills, but the real question is, will their union be legal, or all for show?

Hayden Panettiere Home Robbed

Hayden Panettiere had her home burglarized recently.

TMZ reported the news this morning that a theft report was taken on April 10th. According to the report, approximately $15,000 worth of jewelry is now missing.

Police sources say Hayden discovered the alleged robbery when she returned home from vacation on April 15th.

Sources told the web site that there were no signs of forced entry and several different individuals had access the actress’ home while she was away.

These are tough times we’re living in! Just another reason to keep your valuables locked up in a safe!

Jennifer Lopez Gushes About and Max

Stopping by the Rachael Ray show for an episode that will air on Friday, April 24, Jennifer Lopez opened up to Ray about life with her twins Max and Emme.

Speaking about her adorable twins, J.Lo says Max and Emme are like "night and day." She goes on to talk about her daughters Emme-tude, her pregnancy, and the twins' 1-year birthday party.

The episode doesn't air until Friday, but here are some highlights from the interview:

Lopez on how different the twins are: “They’re very different. You can really see it, even from when they’re really young. Boy, girl. It’s funny to say because he’s more like the visceral boy, running, knocking things down, eating the world - you know what I mean? And she’s kinda like, takes a step and stops and picks things up, and she’s like, ‘I don’t know, maybe I’ll eat this.’ … It’s funny because now that I see Max, I’m like, I was more like Max.”

Lopez on finding out she was having twins: "At a certain point, you start to think, 'Oh, maybe this isn't going to happen for me.' Then, when I was about seven weeks, the doctor said, 'Oh there's a little heartbeat. Oh there's another little heartbeat.' I was like, 'Oh God!' I just laughed. Mark cried, I laughed. I was like, 'Of course. Why not?'"

Lopez on Max looking more like her: ”You know what’s so funny though, me and Mark are always claiming he’s got my head and he’s got my mouth. And he’s like he’s got my eyes and my nose, and I’m like thank God she’s got my nose! It’s awful!,” she laughs. “But you want it all to be you...That’s the nature of who we are, we can’t help it. We’re both trying to steal it all.”

Lopez on also seeing herself in Emme: “She’s funny because we call her Emme-tude because we’re like she’s giving us Emme-tude right now… when she catches an attitude - Wooooahh. She gets that from her dad. I’m kidding … She gets it from me.”

Lopez on their first birthday party: “We did it in my backyard in L.A. We had a barbeque/carnival type thing. It was more just like we had snow cones and a little jumpy. They had the best time at their birthday party, I didn’t think a one year old could have fun at a birthday party. But they did, they loved it. …I think I did a good job, and they’re going to remember.”

Beyonce and Kim Kardashian Obsess Fashion?

Last night the Big Apple played host to the The Cinema Society and MCM's screening of Obsessed.

Beyonce took to the red carpet to promote her new movie in an interesting choice of dress. The super star looked great as she proved the train has definitely left the station. Mrs. Jay Z wore a very short black sequined mini skirt that a huge train in the back.

Kim Kardashian: The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star showed up in a dusty blue bubble skirt with leather jacket and embellished belt. Kim has a great sense of style, so it's hard for her to ever look bad on the carpet.

Ali Larter: The blonde bombshell took to the carpet in an origami inspired white cocktail dress. The star looked classy and trendy all at the same time.

And not to be left out Lydia Hearst decided to also get into the fashion mix. The Socialite rocked a red and yellow bandage dress with matching Chanel purse.

Penelope Cruz Cannes Film Festival

The official movie lineup for the 62nd annual Cannes Film Festival has been announced! They’re calling this year’s competition a battle of the directors, as several high-profile filmmakers are battling it out. They include: 2009 sees a string of high profile directors all fighting it out for the top prize. Quentin Tarantino, Ken Loach, Ang Lee, Pedro Almadovar and Michael Haneke.

Opening the annual fest, held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres in France on May 13th, is Pete Docter and Bob Peterson-directed animation Up, while closing the festival is Jan Kounen's Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky.

A little horse injury can’t keep a good woman down! Madonna is in full recovery mode, and back in the studio. Between the fall, her hospitalization, and the stressful adoption process, she sure knows how to multi-task.

According to Guy Oseary’s Twitter page, which Madge likes to post on often, she was in the studio last night with DJ Paul Oakenfold.

She Tweeted, paul oakenfold is running around the studio naked.. because i wont put the air on.. its hot in here.. but the music is hotter

The Twitter phenomenon is getting crazier by the minute. Amidst working in the studio, Madge found time to Tweet with her pal Demi Moore, telling her they needed to plan more parties. She wrote to Demi, @mrskutcher we need to throw more parties.. and spice things up a bit.. not enough people dancing these days.

We weren’t aware Madonna partied! But we’re glad she’s being productive in the studio while she’s waiting to hear about Mercy’s adoption!

Adrianne Curry, the winner of the first season of America’s Next Top Model, launched a fashion blog at LA on January 13 2009.

Somehow this blog is part of a larger project called Insta Shopping spree, a technology that instantly identifies the products a celeb is wearing in photos and provides you with links so you can purchase them You can check this out here.

I think the technology is really neat and could be useful for many fashion and beauty sites out there. However, I am really confused as to why Adrianne is involved. She’s never established herself as a fashion or beauty icon, other than her ramblings on her website and her MySpace.
